Robert and Victoria Thonhoff of Karnes City, Texas, were married on June 1, 1951, in St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in San Antonio. They have since resided in San Antonio (1951-53), Jourdanton (1953-56), Fashing (1956-88), and Karnes City since their retirement as teachers in 1988.

They have been blessed with three children, Margaret “Mitzi,” Bobby, and Susan, who, in turn, have presented them with five grandchildren, Jason, John David, Travis, Kyle, and Kara.

On Saturday, June 11, they celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary with the 40th anniversary of the Texas Folklife Festival, of which they are founders.
