Charles Hanson, 68, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away Sunday, June 12, 2011. He was born March 25, 1943.

He was preceded in death by his father, Arthur F. Hanson; and his brothers, Monroe Hanson, Thomas Hanson, and Arthur Hanson, all of San Antonio.

Charles is survived by his mother, Eunice A. Egbert of San Antonio; his daughters, Joyce Baker, Tressie Neill and husband Brian, and Callie Robinson and husband Johnny, all of San Antonio; his grandchildren, Christopher Gomez, Jacquelynn Gomez, Vincent Gomez, Shelby Neill, Sarah Neill, Jazmin Robinson, and Johnny Robinson Jr.; his brothers, Frank Hanson and wife Betty of San Antonio, Michael Hanson of Poteet, and Virgil Hanson and wife Patricia of La Vernia; his sister, Eva Hickman and John Dunn of San Antonio; and numerous nieces and nephews.

A visitation will take place on Wednesday, June 15, from 5-9 p.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. George Fike officiating.

Interment will follow in the Leesville Cemetery in Gonzales County.
