“Expect the Unexpected,” as the Bad Company Rodeo starts off the “Roll On Down the Highway” 2011 Tour in Stockdale, during the 67th annual Stockdale Watermelon Jubilee Rodeo, set for Friday and Saturday, June 17-18.
Pre-show activities start at 7 p.m. both nights, with the rodeo action to begin at 7:30 p.m. The crowning of the Stockdale Rodeo Queen will be held during Friday’s pre-show, in the Stockdale City Park rodeo arena, located off S.H. 123 in Stockdale. For the children, mutton bustin’ and a calf scramble will be held both nights.
According to the Bad Company website, the Bad Company Rodeo is the most award-winning stock contracting company in the industry, including Stock Contractor of the Year in the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association.
The website states that “Under the direction of owner Mack Altizer, Bad Company Rodeo was the first to bring rock ’n’ roll music and rodeo together. A Bad Company Rodeo production is full of excitement with attention to detail. With the motto of ‘Expect the Unexpected,’ the focus of every production is to make sure that every person who attends, no matter how young or old they are, has a good time.”
