Poth urges water conservation
POTH -- A continued lack of rain and triple-digit daytime temperatures continues to put a strain on water systems throughout the state. Officials here are attempting to stave off the need for mandatory restrictions, asking residents and businesses to voluntarily cut back on their water use.
Customers are asked to limit lawn watering to the hours of 8 p.m. to 10 a.m. Anyone with even-numbered street addresses -- those ending in 0, 2, 4, 6, or 8 -- is asked to water only on Sundays and Thursdays. Those with odd-numbered addresses are asked to water on Saturdays and Wednesdays.
For more information, call Poth City Hall at 830-484-2111.
