Eckel elected to state’s grain, feed board
The Texas Grain & Feed Association recognized its elected officers and welcomed four incoming directors during its annual meeting held in Austin.
Ronnie Eckel of Lyssy & Eckel Inc. of Poth was elected to serve as a director representing the membership of the Texas Grain & Feed Association.
He joins newly elected directors Bob Ferguson of Vernon, Stephen Smith of Fort Worth, Jerry Stephenson of Tomball, and Ronnie Wittig of Wharton.
They join Dean McIntosh of Amarillo, who will serve as the association’s second vice chairman; Ladd Lafferty of Watonga, Okla., first vice chairman; and John Windwehen of Dallas, who is the newly elected chairman of the Texas Grain & Feed Association board.
As officers and directors, these individuals will serve to approve outcomes to be accomplished, to make sure outcomes are being achieved, and to ensure that resources necessary for achievement are available and used efficiently.
The Texas Grain & Feed Association celebrates its 113th year representing the interests of the grain handling and feed and flour manufacturing industries. The association is comprised of more than 400 member businesses from the small country elevator to the export to the corporate feeding industry and exporters.
