St. Ann Knights of Columbus Council 12208 has awarded three scholarships to La Vernia High School seniors Kaitlyn P. Broll, Logan A. Mills, and Zachary D. Preston. Each is a recipient of a $1,000 Patrick Coward Memorial Scholarship.

The scholarships were presented by the Knights of Columbus for the 2011-12 school year.

Kaitlyn has enrolled at the University of Texas at San Antonio and plans to become a physician assistant. Logan has enrolled at the University of Texas at Austin; he plans to major in mechanical engineering. Zachary has enrolled at Palo Alto College, where he will begin an engineering degree.

The La Vernia Knights of Columbus Council has awarded at least one $1,000 scholarship since the 2002-03 school year. This is the first time three scholarships have been awarded.
