Television personality and author Angela Shelf Medearis will host two sessions of “The Kitchen Diva Cooks with Carver Library” on Saturday, June 25. She will present a lecture from 2-3 p.m., with book-signings from 1-1:30 p.m. and 3-3:30 p.m. Free health screenings will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. on a first-come, first-served basis. All events will occur in the Carver Academy Library, located at 3350 East Commerce St. in San Antonio.

The program will feature Medearis preparing recipes from her best-selling cookbooks, “The New African-American Kitchen” and “The Ethnic Vegetarian,” and her latest, “The Kitchen Diva Cooks!”
