Offer condolences


Charletta J. Barclay Parker passed away on Friday, May 20, 2011. She was born Aug. 27, 1938, in Eric, Okla.

Charletta moved to the La Vernia, Texas, area from Nevada in 2007, after the death of her husband, Jerry F. Parker. They were married for 52 years.

She never met a stranger and was a very talented woman of handcrafts and needlework.

Charletta was preceded in death by her husband.

She is survived by her daughter, Judy Sutton and family of La Vernia; her sons, Bruce Parker and family of Carl Junction, Mo., and Mark Parker and family of Kent, Ohio; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. Charletta is also survived by her brother, Larry D. Barclay of Amarillo; and a younger sister, Jerrie Faye of Alaska.

Charletta asked to be cremated, as the family has done.

Good journey, Mother, you will be missed.
