Josephine “Josie” Notzon Kyrisch, 86, passed away on Wednesday, June 15, 2011. She was born Nov. 22, 1925, in Kosciusko, Texas.

Josie was an avid gardener, hunter, and fisher always happiest when outdoors.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Emery Kyrisch Sr.

Josie is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Evelyn and Emery Kyrisch Jr. of San Antonio and Norbert and Bonnie Kyrisch of Ingleside; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren and one on the way; her sisters, Minnie Sealey, Mary Lindsey, and Alice Tucker; and her brother, George Notzon.

A visitation was held on Monday, June 20, from 5-9 p.m. with a rosary recited at 7 p.m. in the Mission Park Funeral Chapels South in San Antonio.

The funeral service was held on Tuesday at 9 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.

Interment followed in the Mission Burial Park South in San Antonio.
