Carl Edward Walpole, 75, passed away Friday, June 17, 2011. He was born April 22, 1936, in Floresville, Texas.

He was preceded in death by his parents, S.T. and Marie McVay Walpole; and his brother, S.T. Walpole Jr.

Carl is survived by his wife, Alberta Zahn Walpole; his daughters, Stephanie Walpole Vincent and husband Charles, Deborah Walpole Searcy, and Loretta Walpole Taylor; his sons, Carl Edward Walpole Jr. and Clint Walpole and wife JoAnn; his grandchildren, Amber Searcy, Kathryn and Carrie Walpole, Cole and Lily Vincent, Caden and Caleb Walpole, and Madyson Taylor; his sisters, Wanda Gregory and Minnie Kinson; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

A visitation was held Monday, June 20, from 5-9 p.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia.

A funeral service was held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Tom Summers officiating.

Interment followed in the Concrete Cemetery near La Vernia.
