Mr. and Mrs. Charles W. Carson III of Rocksprings, Texas, are pleased to announce the engagement of their daughter, Emily Vesta, to Tyler Wayne Schwertner, the son of Mr. and Mrs. Gregory K. Schwertner of Miles.

The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Quinna Ernestine Carson of Barksdale and the late Charles W. “Charlie” Carson Jr., and Mr. and Mrs. Robert E. Billimek of Poth.

Emily recently graduated from Texas State University in San Marcos with a Bachelor of Arts in communication studies and is employed by the First National Bank of Mertzon in San Angelo.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. William J. “Billy” Schwertner of Miles and Betty Parker of San Angelo.

Tyler is a 2010 graduate of Texas A&M University in College Station with a Bachelor of Science in agronomy and is employed by Crop Production Services in Veribest.

A fall wedding is planned for Saturday, Nov. 12, 2011, in the Sacred Heart Cathedral in San Angelo. Tyler and Emily will reside in San Angelo.
