Pesticide applicator training/testing news
The Wilson County office of the Texas AgriLife Extension Service is tentatively setting Thursday, Aug. 4, for a private pesticide applicator training/testing. Registration will begin at 8:30 a.m. at the Criminal Justice Center, located off U.S. 181 in Floresville. The training will run until noon at which time everyone will be on their own for lunch.
The test will be administered by Texas Department of Agriculture personnel at 1 p.m. The cost of the study manual is $25 and the training cost is $10, for a total of $35 per person.
The Extension office must have 25 people registered to conduct the event, so RSVP to the Extension office at 830-292-7357 or e-mail Wilsonemail@example.com no later than Monday, July 25. If the Extension office does not have the minimum number of participants, the event will be moved to a later date, to give more time for interest to grow.
When a person receives their private applicator license, he or she will be able to purchase and use or supervise the use of restricted or state-limited uses pesticides.
