Robert Preston Burns, 85, of Floresville, Texas, passed away on Monday, June 20, 2011. He was born Sept. 19, 1925, in Columbus, Ohio.

Robert was a World War II Navy veteran. He retired from Kreiger Ford in Columbus, Ohio.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Reames Burns; and his granddaughter, Keli Ann Campbell.

Robert is survived by his children, Carolyn Burns of Austin, Twyla Karlquist and husband Donald of Floresville, and Lynann Campbell and husband Mark of Circleville, Ohio; his sister, Aleta Hoover of Columbus, Ohio; his grandchildren, Sara Woods and husband Craig of Poth, Mark Campbell II, and Leslee Campbell of Circleville; and his great-grandchildren, Robert Burns and Jacquelyn, Faythe, and William Woods.

A funeral service will be held at a later date in Columbus. He will be inurned in the Mifflin Township Cemetery in Gahanna, Ohio.
