The Wilson County News has received word that Sophie Sparks, 5, of La Vernia, has passed away.

Her faith and joy inspired many throughout her courageous battle with cancer. Service information will be posted as soon as it is made available.

Let's all put aside our political debate and remember what's important in life. Let's pray for all those sick and innocent victims, especially the young children. RIP Sophie.
