The 81st Judicial District Attorney’s office is seeking candidates for the position of an Administrative Assistant. Duties will include but not limited to: answering incoming calls and greeting visitors, prepare discovery for defense bar as required, providing administrative and clerical support to the ADAs and District Attorney, assist in general office work and perform related duties as follows: Operate a multi-line telephone switchboard, proficient use of software applications and computer equipment, scanning and compiling files for eDiscovery, filing and creating court files, generating reports as required. Applicants must have at least five (5) years of administrative assistant experience, strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) ability to multi-task, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. Zachary Nathaniel Ferguson, a resident of San Marcos, Texas, entered eternal rest Saturday, July 2, 2011, at the age of 27 years, 27 days. He was born June 5, 1984.

Zachary was a senior at Texas State University and was a gifted artist and photographer. He was a graduate of Southwest High School, and proudly served his country in Iraq, in the U.S. Army. Zachary was an avid fisherman and shared his love of the outdoors with his daughter, Hannah.

Zachary was preceded in death by his grandfather, Billy Carroll Snider Sr.

He is survived by his daughter, Hannah Gabriella Ferguson; his mother, Liz Snider; his beloved sister, Bianca Garza and husband Juan; his grandmother, Rachel Snider; his grandfather, Paul Jacobs; and many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, “brothers,” and countless friends.

A visitation began Friday, July 8, at 10 a.m. in the Vinyard Funeral Home Chapel in Floresville.

A funeral service was held Friday at 11 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.

The family requests memorials be made to the Hannah Gabriella Ferguson Education Fund.
