KENEDY -- Team ropers can test their skills Saturday, July 23, at the sixth annual South Central Texas Independent Cattlemen’s Association (ICA) Benefit Team Roping, to be held in the Chesnutt Arena in Kenedy. Sign-in begins at 5 p.m., with roping to begin at 6 p.m.

Prizes include cash, belt buckles, and Sutton Ropes, with the high money winners to receive Chesnutt saddle stands.

The ropers in the USTRC No. 9 and No. 11 roping events will have four runs for the $80-per-roper entry fee, payable in cash only. A roper may enter one, draw three; or enter open and draw four.

Both roping events will run together with separate short rounds.

A concession stand will also be open during the event.

The Independent Cattlemen’s Association of Texas is a grass-roots organization dedicated to presenting a strong voice for the beef industry statewide and nationally.

For more information, call Brad Cotton at 830-391-0337 or Dickie Jackson at 830-391-3153.

Contact the state ICA office at 512-620-0162 or visit http://www.icatexas.com.
