Offer condolences

Shirley Ann Kramer Brown, a resident of Floresville, Texas, entered into eternal rest on Thursday, July 7, 2011, at the age of 73. She was born Sept. 22, 1937, in Harper to Walter and Thecla Pehl Kramer.

Shirley married Donald Frank Brown Sr. on Feb. 7, 1959, in the Notre Dame Catholic Church in Kerrville. She was a retired administrator with Sheppard Middle School, and was a lifetime member of the Bellaire Parent-Teacher Association.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her beloved husband of 45 years, Donald; her son-in-law, Alfonso Limon Sr.; her sister, Vernell Kennedy; and her brothers-in-law, Charlie McCaleb and Ray Griffith.

Shirley is survived by her children, Rebecca Ann Brown of Floresville, Nancy Diane Limon of Harrah, Okla., Donald Frank Brown Jr., and wife Cheryl of Floresville, and Ben Walter Brown and wife Roxana of Floresville; her grandchildren, Brian, Blake and wife Chelsey, Brianna, and Brielle Brown, Tony and wife Vickie, Aaron, Adrianna, and Alfonso Limon Jr. and wife Kathy, and John Lerma; her great-granddaughter, Makayla Limon; her sisters, Barbara McCaleb and Betty Drawe and husband Ed; her brother-in-law, Gene Kennedy; her sisters-in-law, Barbara Griffith and Anne Mendiola and husband Pete; and her cousin, Jerome Henzen.

A visitation began on Sunday, July 10, at 4 p.m. with a rosary recited at 6 p.m. in the Vinyard Funeral Home in Floresville.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Monday at 1 p.m. in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Floresville.

Interment followed in the San Jose Burial Park in San Antonio.

Serving as pallbearers were Donald Brown, Ben Brown, Brian Brown, Blake Brown, Aaron Limon, and Tony Limon.
