ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. ‘Buck Out Hunger Bull Riding Tour Challenge’ July 30-31

C-91 Ranch and Livestock Rodeo Productions will sponsor the “Buck Out Hunger Bull Riding Tour Challenge” Saturday and Sunday, July 30-31. The event will be held on the south side of San Antonio at Plaza Mexico Arena, a short distance from Loop 410 and S.H. 16 South.

The two-day event will feature a bull team competition, open bull riding, junior bull riding, miniature bucking bull riding, freestyle bull fighting matches, mutton bustin’, calf scramble, cowboy church service, a barbecue cook-off, musical entertainment, and more.

General admission tickets are $15 per day or with a donation of five non-perishable food items, the ticket price is $10.

The purpose of these events is to bring quality bull riding events and family entertainment to San Antonio while raising awareness about hunger and benefiting the San Antonio Food Bank.

Other upcoming event dates include Aug. 27-28, Sept. 10-11, Sept. 24-25, Oct. 15-16, and Nov. 5-6; the finals are set for Nov. 18-19.
