Bettye L. Dahmer, 80, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away on Tuesday, July 19, 2011. She was born on Oct. 14, 1930, to John Henry and Lilly Mae McBride.

Bettye was raised in Stockdale and considered it home. She still has many family members who live in the area.

She had a way of making everyone in her life feel special, sharing their joy or making their burden a little lighter. She cared for all of her intimate relations during her life and always created beautiful, nurturing homes filled with her artistic endeavors. We mourn the death and celebrate the life of this beautiful lady, said her family.

Mom will be sorely missed by her three children, Dawn, Mike, and John Mansfield; her grandchildren, Andrew, Leah, Michaela, Kelley, and Devyn; and the many other family and friends who loved her.

A visitation was held on Friday, July 22, at 10 a.m. with a service at 12 p.m. in the Christ United Methodist Church in Stockdale.

A graveside service followed in the Stockdale Cemetery in Stockdale.
