Ann Louise Johnson passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2011. She was born in San Antonio, Texas, on Oct. 4, 1940, where she enjoyed her entire life.

Immediately after graduating from Burbank High School, Ann began working in Civil Service and continued to do so until the mid-1980s. Ann was a member of the Standard Schnauzer of America Club where she enjoyed the many friendships made throughout her membership years.

Ann married Larry Johnson on Aug. 1, 1959. Throughout their 46 years of marriage, she enjoyed camping, hunting, traveling, dog shows, and spending time with friends and family.

Ann was preceded in death by her husband, Larry.

She is survived by her daughter, Julie Lange and husband Donald; her sons, Colby Johnson and wife June and Thomas Johnson and wife Melissa; her grandchildren, Amber Johnston and husband Dean, Joshua Johnson, Megan Johnson, Garrison Lange, and Brian Lange and wife Janell and their son, Bronson; her cousins, Linda and Darryl Jackson and Gary and Susan Beyer and their families; and many dear friends, neighbors, and her beloved Standard Schnauzer, Tristan.

A visitation will be held Thursday, July 28, from 4-9 p.m. with a memorial service at 7 p.m. in the Dellcrest Funeral Home in San Antonio with Pastor Bobby Nixon officiating.

A graveside service will be held in the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery on Friday at l0 a.m.
