The 81st Judicial District Attorney’s office is seeking candidates for the position of an Administrative Assistant. Duties will include but not limited to: answering incoming calls and greeting visitors, prepare discovery for defense bar as required, providing administrative and clerical support to the ADAs and District Attorney, assist in general office work and perform related duties as follows: Operate a multi-line telephone switchboard, proficient use of software applications and computer equipment, scanning and compiling files for eDiscovery, filing and creating court files, generating reports as required. Applicants must have at least five (5) years of administrative assistant experience, strong computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) ability to multi-task, excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 1922-2011
Roberta Price Mays, 89, of San Antonio, Texas, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 17, 2011. She was born July 2, 1922, in Calaveras to William and Alma Popham. Roberta was the youngest of ten siblings. “Bert,” as she was known to family and friends, was a devoted wife, mother, and servant of God. She was an active member of Victory Baptist Church in Somerset. Her life was centered on family and furthering the Kingdom of the Lord. As a result of her witness and testimony, many have come to a saving faith in the Lord Jesus Christ. She is greatly loved by both her earthly and spiritual families and our lives will never be the same without her, said her family.
Roberta was preceded in death by husband, the Rev. G.K. “Jack” Price; husband Paul Lindsey; her son, Gordon Keith Price Jr.; her sisters, Ora, Ola, Cora, Clara, Rosia, and Edna; and her brothers, Lewis and Charles.
She is survived by her beloved husband, Lloyd Mays; her children, Darlene Russell and husband Todd, Kate Allen and husband Greg, Larry Price and wife Billye Kay, Mark Price and wife Ann, and Michael Price and wife Deborah; her stepchildren, Lloyd D. Mays, Karen Montgomery, Clifton Lindsey, Pauline Wilcox, and Paul Lindsey Jr.; her sister, Lois Torans Lucas; 21 grandchildren; 29 great-grandchildren; 2 great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A visitation was held on Monday, July 25, from 5-9 p.m. in the Mission Park Funeral Chapels South in San Antonio. A funeral service was held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel.
Interment followed in the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.
