1929-2011

Mark Neal Myers Sr. passed away on Sunday, July 31, 2011, in Seguin, Texas, at the age of 82 years, 2 months, and 15 days. He was born in Kingsville on May 16, 1929, to Clanton and Margaret Myers.

He was a resident of Bebe for 17 years and a former resident of Sutherland Springs. He was a member of the First Christian Church.

Mark was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and three grandsons.

He is survived by his wife, LaVoy Myers of Bebe; his daughters, Mary Jeaneal Presley and husband Kurt of Dalhart and Margaret Rose Garcia and husband Arthur Charles of Somerset; his sons, Mark Neal Myers Jr. and wife Debbie of Pipe Creek and Marshall Lee Myers and wife Judy of Kingsbury; his brother, William Keaton Myers and wife Betty of Breckenridge; 14 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

A visitation was held on Monday, Aug. 1, at 7 p.m. in the Franklin Funeral Home in Floresville.

A funeral service was held on Tuesday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Chuck Jennings officiating.

Interment followed in the Sutherland Springs Cemetery in Sutherland Springs.
