Ruth “Ruthie” Pullin, 77, passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2011, in Texas City. Texas. She was born Aug. 22, 1933, in Fulton, Miss., to Oscar M. and Dora Mae (Waddle) Oswalt.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jerry Lynn Pullin; and her stepdaughter, Pam Pullin. Ruthie is survived by her daughters, Wanda Larrabee and husband James of La Marque, Dora Pitman and husband Steve of Baytown, and Peggy Parker and husband Fontaine of Amarillo; her sons, Grady Adams of Rosharon, Steve Adams and wife Ursula of Pearland, and Dale Adams and wife Myra of Germany; her stepchildren, Jerry Pullin of Abilene, Eddie Pullin of Abilene, and Tommy Pullin and wife Patsy and Denise Bush and husband Jimmy, all of Stockdale; 17 grandchildren; 21 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; her brother, J.D. Lewis of Amory, Miss.; and other loving family.

A visitation was held on Monday, Aug. 8, from 6-8 p.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in Stockdale.

A funeral service was held on Tuesday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Ron Gardner officiating.

Interment followed in the Stockdale Cemetery in Stockdale.

Memorial contributions may be given to the family through Finch Funeral Chapel, LLC, 400 S. Fourth St., Stockdale, TX 78160.
