Enacio “Nacho” Barro Luna, 88, of San Angelo, Texas, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, Aug. 3, 2011, in his residence surrounded by his children. He was born on March 9, 1923, in Floresville. He worked for the city of San Angelo Water Department and City Lumber, and retired from Mitsubishi Aircraft at Mathis Field. He married the love of his life, Pura Robles, in Ballinger. She preceded him in death on March 17, 2010.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice Interium, to grandchildren Cassie and Christopher Morua, and to Missy Esquivel for being an exceptional caretaker.

Daddy, you are at peace now and forever in our hearts, said his family.

Enacio is survived by his three sons, George R. Luna and wife Annette of Floresville; Lorenzo R. Luna and wife Irma of Harriett; and Enacio B. Luna Jr. of Gonzales; his three daughters, Mary Samarripa and husband Alex of San Angelo, Velma Morua and husband Greg of San Angelo, and Eva Davila and husband Sergio of San Angelo; his stepdaughters, Adela Vigil, Marta Arroyo, Ortensia Juarez, and Connie Ortiz; his sisters, Lucy Ornelas and Anita Garza, both of San Angelo; his brother, Lorenzo Luna of Dallas; 16 grandchildren; and 22 great-grandchildren.

A visitation was held Thursday, Aug. 4, at 1 p.m. with a prayer service at 7 p.m. in the Robert Massie Riverside Chapel in San Angelo.

A graveside service was held Friday at 10 a.m. in the Fairmount Cemetery with Pastor Edward Lopez officiating.

Pallbearers were George Luna Jr., Gabriel Luna, Robert Samarripa, Ruben Luna, Alex Samarripa, Chris Morua, Edward Luna, and Omar Davila.
