Floresville High School junior varsity and varsity cheerleaders attended UCA (Universal Cheerleaders Association) Cheerleading Camp held at the University of Texas at Austin July 21-24, along with their wonderful mascots, the Tiger and the Jaguar.

Both the junior varsity and varsity cheerleaders received all blue superior ribbons during camp, which is the highest recognition for evaluations that you can receive at cheer camp.

The Floresville High School cheerleaders brought home a total of three trophies for their final evaluations on the last day of camp. The girls learned many new chants, dances, crowd-involvement skills, cadence dances, and much more to prepare them for the upcoming 2011-12 school year.

The Tiger and Jaguar mascots did amazingly well. The Tiger and Jaguar were the first mascots to win the most spirited “Mushy” award. There were more than 45 high school teams at the University of Texas Cheer Camp this summer and 21 mascots.

A special congratulations goes out to our All-American Cheerleaders -- Sabrina Mendoza and Falan Casanova.

The Floresville High School cheer squad is excited for a year full of Tiger and Jaguar spirit!
