1957-2011

Guadalupe “Lupe” Flores of Floresville, Texas, passed away Tuesday, Aug. 23, 2011, in Floresville at the age of 53 years, 8 months, and 13 days. He was born on Dec. 10, 1957, in Floresville to Pablo and Julia Flores.

He was preceded in death by his father, two brothers, and one sister.

Guadalupe is survived by his wife, Anna Ximenez Flores of Floresville; his mother, Julia Flores of Floresville; his sons, Angel Ray Flores of Floresville and Michael Anthony Courvier of Fort Worth; his sister, Ida Vargas and husband Manuel of Floresville; his brother, Pablo Flores and wife Martha of Killeen; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held Wednesday, Aug. 24, at 5 p.m. in the Franklin Funeral Home Chapel in Floresville, with a rosary recited at 7 p.m.

A funeral Mass was celebrated Thursday at 10 a.m. in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Floresville with the Rev. Andrew Waszczenko officiating.

Interment followed in the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery in Floresville.

Serving as pallbearers were Roy Flores, Christopher Rivas, Ignacio Rivas, Robert Ortiz, Richard Saldana, Gilbert Saldana, and Jeremy Trevino.
