1942-2011

James Moczygemba, 68, of Gillett, Texas, passed away Sunday, Aug. 28, 2011, in San Antonio. He was born Oct. 6, 1942, to Vincent J. and Rosie Gawlik Moczygemba in Gillett.

He was a member of the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Cestohowa and the Men’s Club. He loved animals and loved sports, especially the Falls City Beavers, the San Antonio Spurs, and the Dallas Cowboys. James was a farmer and rancher and was a lifelong resident of Gillett.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

James is survived by his brothers, Willie Moczygemba of Gillett, Alvin Moczygemba and wife JoAnn of Poth, and Virgil Moczygemba and wife Elaine of Kosciusko; his sister, Lorraine Maha and husband John of China Grove; numerous nieces and nephews; and numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.

A rosary was recited Tuesday, Aug. 30, at 7:30 p.m. in the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Cestohowa.

A funeral Mass will be recited Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in Cestohowa, with Father Andrzej Waszczenko, SDS, officiating.

Interment will follow in the Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Cemetery in Cestohowa.

Serving as pallbearers will be Leroy Skloss, Kevin Moczygemba, Callen Maha, Jason Jung, Jason Williams, and Gene Gawlik.
