Offer condolences


Jerome “Jerry” Rohan, 89, of San Antonio, Texas, passed away Friday, Aug. 26, 2011. Jerome was born Sept. 11, 1921, to John and Agnes (Malik) Rohan.

Jerome was a member of the VFW Post No. 8541 and the American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Eunice Rohan; and his sister, Mary Johnson.

Jerome is survived by his spouse, Kathryn (Zigmond) Rohan of San Antonio; daughters Gerry Morgenroth and husband Malcolm of Adkins and Sylvia Rix and husband Michael of San Antonio; grandchildren Kyle Morgenroth and wife Lori of Schertz and Dustin Morgenroth and wife Lisa of St. Hedwig; five great-grandchildren, Kyla, Summer, Caitlin, Luke, and Taylor Morgenroth; and his sister-in-law, Ivie Lee Eicher of Shiner.

Visitation was held Monday, Aug. 29, from 4-9 p.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia, with a rosary recited at 7 p.m.

A funeral Mass was held Tuesday at noon in the St. Joan of Arc Catholic Church in

San Antonio.

Interment followed at 1:45 p.m. in the Fort Sam Houston National Cemetery in San Antonio.

Donations may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
