Cattle raisers to host Ranching 101 in Pleasanton

The Texas and Southwestern Cattle Raisers will host a Ranching 101 seminar in Pleasanton, Saturday, Sept. 10, at the Atascosa Livestock Exchange. The seminar will begin at 8 a.m. and end at 2 p.m. The Atascosa Livestock Exchange is located at 2002 S.H. 97 W, in Pleasanton.

The seminar will give participants practical, sound guidance on the tools, and equipment needed to get started in ranching; how to properly match livestock and natural resources such as pasture and water; basic herd health, nutrition and animal care; managing business finances; and theft prevention.

Admission is free and lunch will be served. A complete agenda can be found at www.tscra.org.
