The Wilson County Food Workshop will be held Saturday, Sept. 10, from 9-11 a.m. at the Stockdale Elementary School in Stockdale.

Registration is open until Thursday, Sept. 8, by calling the Wilson County office of the Texas AgriLife Extension Service at 830-393-7357.

Attendees will learn about table manners, different types of tea and what royalty does at “Tea Time,” and the new Healthy Lifestyles Competition.

The community-service project is going to be “Drawing the Bridge on Hunger.” Attendees are asked to take nonperishable items with them to the workshop. All of the donated items will be divided up and sent to all of the food pantries in the Wilson County area.

The theme for this year’s poster contest is “My Plate,” and this relates back to the royalty theme. The posters will be turned in and judged at the Food Workshop.

For more information, call 830-393-7357.
