Ronald and Barbara Wiatrek of Stockdale, Texas, are proud to announce the engagement and upcoming marriage of their daughter, Jenna, to Joshua Cotter, the son of Velvis Jowers and Randy and Susan Cotter, all of Stockdale.

The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Magdalen Wiatrek of Stockdale and the late John Wiatrek, and the late August and Emma Shortner, formerly of Karnes City.

The prospective groom is the grandson of Sipple Lee West of San Antonio and the late James Orbrie and Carol West, formerly of Japton, Ark., and Joe and Brenda Cotter of Stockdale.

Jenna, a 2003 graduate of Stockdale High School, graduated from Texas A&M University in College Station with a degree in entomology in 2007. She is currently employed as a seventh- and eighth-grade science teacher with the Stockdale Independent School District.

Josh, a 2000 graduate of Stockdale High School, attended Texas State University. He is currently employed with EOG as a lease operator.

The couple plan to wed Saturday, Oct. 8, 2011, at 3 p.m. in St. Ann’s Catholic Church in Kosciusko. A reception, dinner, and dance will follow in St. Mary’s Parish Hall in Stockdale.
