Come to the Wilson County Clover Buds meeting.

Clover Buds is a program that is designed for kids ages 5 years old to third grade. It is a program that is 4-H-based with more emphasis on cooperative learning, rather than competition.

The program consists of children with a team of adult and teen leaders who meet on a monthly basis. Participation, safety, personal development, learning, and fun are the highest priorities in 4-H Clover Buds programs.

The meetings are usually once a month and consist of a project presentation -- almost always an animal -- a craft, and a snack. It is really fun for the kids and a great way to learn about the 4-H program of their future.

The Clover Buds will have a booth at the “Get Acquainted with 4-H” event on Sunday, Sept. 18, from 1-3 p.m. in the Wilson County Show Barn, located off S.H. 97 E. in Floresville.

The first meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Sept. 20, at 6:30 p.m. in the Stockdale Housing Authority Room, located at 701 W. Main St. in Stockdale.

For more information, call Rhonda at 830-996-1336, Josette at 830-391-4303, or Valarie at 210-355-1749.
