Immanuel Lutheran Church is now hiring for a Youth and Family Ministry Director. Pastoral: Minister to youth and their families during Sunday School and other church programs, being present in their lives outside the church walls, available for common concerns and in crisis situations. Leadership: Recruit and nurture Youth and Family Ministry program. Administration : Manage the planning process and coordinate with Pastor and Youth Committee all regular ministries to youth and their families. This includes youth of all ages on Sunday mornings and mid-week events; assisting with Confirmation, special events, trips and retreats, and parent meetings. Stewardship: Ongoing evaluation of the effectiveness of youth programs, manage youth ministry budget, and collaborate with the sponsors of each Youth group. Ability to build, lead, and empower youth. Ability to implement a ministry vision. Familiarity with Lutheran Doctrine required; must be comfortable teaching it and representing Lutheran Theology. Proficient computer skills using MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, database, email, internet, and social media. Supervisory experience preferred. Ability to adapt and evaluate curriculum preferred. Must have excellent organization, communication (verbal and written), and listening skills, with a high degree of initiative and accountability. Exceptional interpersonal and relational skills required, with sensitivity to church members and visitors. Understanding and enjoyment of youth and families and guiding their spiritual development. 1936-2011

Hugo Rauschuber, 75, passed away Saturday, Sept. 10, 2011. He was born Sept. 7, 1936, to Charles Paul and Mary (Bierschienk) Rauschuber.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Vernell Rauschuber; many of his siblings; and his granddaughter, Randa Rauschuber.

Hugo is survived by his wife, Iva Mitchell; his sisters, Katy Kotzur, Mildred Jupe, Elma Kerlick, and Rosie Dear; his brothers, Charles Rauschuber, Martin Rauschuber, and Gilbert Rauschuber; his sons, Charlie Rauschuber and wife Yvonne, and Randall Rauschuber and wife Liz; grandchildren Carlie and Justin Rauschuber, Crystal and Verloria Rauschuber, Sandy Orcutt, and Robert and Angie O’Connor.

Visitation was held Tuesday, Sept. 13, from 6-7 p.m. in the Finch Funeral Chapel in La Vernia, Texas, with a rosary recited at 7 p.m.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Church in St. Hedwig, with Father Bill Zadora officiating.

Interment will followed in the Annunciation of the Blessed Virgin Mary Catholic Cemetery in St. Hedwig.

Memorial donations may be made to the Annunciation BVM Rosary Society, P.O. Box 100, St. Hedwig, TX 78152.
