Golf tourney to benefit Camp Discovery in San Antonio

SAN ANTONIO -- Golfers are invited to participate in the 18th annual Bob Worrick Memorial Golf Tournament at The Republic Golf Club, this Saturday, Sept. 24. Check-in starts at 7:30 a.m., and tournament play begins with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. The golf course is located at 4226 S.E. Military Drive in San Antonio.

The single day, Florida scramble tournament, which is sponsored by Hermann Sons Harmonia Lodge No. 1, benefits the American Cancer Society’s Camp Discovery for children with cancer.

The entry fee is $95 per player, which includes goodie bag, greens fees, range balls, cart, Mulligan, throwsie, and awards dinner. Prizes will be awarded for the top teams and individuals, as well as door prizes.
