Responsibilities include office and field work associated with the appraisal of residential property. SAN ANTONIO -- Cross-country runners from Poth participated in the Ricardo Romo/Six Flags Fiesta Texas/H-E-B Classic Sept. 17. The Pirette team finished third out of 12 teams, and the Pirates finished fifth out of 17 teams.

Justine Quintanilla was the top Pirette runner in the 2-mile event with an impressive third-place finish among a field of 100 runners. Quintanilla completed the course with a time of 13:09. Senior Whitney Lynch also placed in the top 10 with a time of 13:32, and a finish of ninth place. Devon Dylla placed 15th with a time of 14:22, followed by Claire Dallmeyer in 34th with a time of 15:09. Keeley McKinney finished in 44th place for the team with a time of 15:47.

Sophomore Dylan Sefcik led the Pirates with his 13th-place finish in a time of 18:30 during the boys 5-kilometer race. Thomas Rodriquez followed closely in 16th with a time of 18:36. In 21st place was Spencer Flieller with a time of 18:44. Freshman Marcos Guevara ran a 19:25 to place 32nd. Jake Sekula rounded out the team with a race time of 22:58.

Coach Joe McKinney was pleased with the team’s performance and is seeing great improvements from week to week. The Poth cross-country teams were scheduled to compete in Poteet Sept. 24.
