With the exception of offices for the county clerk and the Texas AgriLife Extension, the Wilson County Courthouse has been evacuated. This is in response to an engineer’s preliminary finding that the 127-year-old building’s northwest corner was unsafe.

The commissioners courtroom and offices for the district clerk, county judge, county attorney, Hot Checks, and elections have been relocated to the Wilson County Courthouse Annex No. 3. The building, formerly the Floresville Primary Campus, is located at 1103 Fourth St.

In addition, County Judge’s Secretary Dawn Barnett said a schedule for both district court and county judge’s court will be posted on the county’s website.

If it's fenced in, how does it affect the peanut festival next week? Will the booths be relocated that would have been near the courthouse? Will the carnival be moved to a nearby location?
