LOCKHART -- The Independent Cattlemen’s Association of Texas (ICA) announced Sept. 15 that the committee for the Central Texas All Breed Bull & Female Sale has made the difficult decision to cancel their sale, originally slated for Friday, Oct. 28, in Gonzales.

“The drought is affecting every cattle producer in the state. The committee recognized the difficulties facing our fellow cow-calf producers and has decided to forgo the event this year,” ICA’s Executive Director Bill Hyman explained.

The committee does plan, however, to hold a sale next year. The tentative date is scheduled for Oct. 26, 2012.
