POTEET -- The Stockdale High School and Junior High School cross-country teams traveled to Poteet Sept. 24 to participate in the Aggies’ annual meet.

In the varsity boys division, Ethan Chavez was the Brahmas’ top runner with a time of 23:27, followed by Jordan Jackson at 23:42, and Austin Gonzales at 24:05. The remaining participants for Stockdale were Perry Bone, Michael Opela, Will Morris, and Tristan Marquez.

Participating in the junior varsity girls division were Sarah Holguin with a seventh-place finish and a time of 17:21; Samantha Jones, who placed eighth with a time of 17:28; and Victoria Lerma, who had a place and time of 29th and 20:36.

In the middle school boys division, with seventh and eighth grades combined, Joel Marquez produced an eighth-place finish with a time of 14:46, and Joshua Rangel was 10th with a time of 15:20. Austin Akin was 13th with a time of 15:50, and Samuel Scriven was 14th in 15:51. Joseph Bustamante finished with a time of 19:20 in 31st place, followed by Mark Salinas in 33rd place at 19:49, and Devin McMahan in 35th place at 20 minutes even. In the middle school girls division, Kirsten Daniels finished fourth with a time of 17:40.
