ON-CALL CRISIS POOL WORKERS NEEDED. Part-time positions are available for after hours “on-call” crisis workers to respond to mental health crisis for Wilson and Karnes Counties. Duties include crisis interventions, assessments, referrals to stabilization services, and referrals for involuntary treatment services according to the Texas Mental Health Laws. You must have at least a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology, sociology, social work, nursing, etc. On-call hours are from 5 p.m.-8 a.m. weekdays, weekends and holidays vary. If selected, you must attend required training and must be able to report to designated safe sites within 1 hour of request for assessment. EC Hornets compete at SAISD

SAN ANTONIO -- The East Central cross-country team has been hard at work, and recently competed in the SAISD Invitational, where the team left with several good finishes.

In the varsity boys division, the team finished fourth overall. Javier Salas led the Hornets with his ninth-place finish, followed by Adam Lee in 15th place. Jason Mireles finished 37th for the Hornets, Abraham Juarez was 40th, and Patrick Gonzalez finished 44th. Kendall Spann was 68th and Jeremy Hudson finished in 70th place.

In varsity girls competition, the Lady Hornets finished fourth overall. Savannah Silva was the top finisher from East Central in ninth place, followed by Amber Hazlewood in 24th. Samantha Pinedo was 32nd, Hannah Glover was 33rd, Rosie Ball finished in 54th place, and Amie Pena was 88th.

The junior varsity boys finished sixth at the meet. Micah Briggs finished eighth in the race, Anthony Rodriguez was 18th, and Marcos Campos finished in 29th place. Garrett Williams was 57th, Brandon Mireles was 77th, Lewis McClure finished 83rd, and David Solis finished at 120th. Kathrine Perez, Briana Tremillo, and Geovanny Huerta ran in the junior varsity girls division, but no results were available.
