A poultry clinic will be held Saturday, Oct. 8, at the Kroll residence near Dewees from 10 a.m. until noon.

The Krolls are going to raise 30 turkeys for the clinic. Fifteen of the birds will be raised correctly and 15 of the birds will be raised incorrectly.

Keith Staggs will be the guest speaker, who will address broiler and turkey management, including facilities, feeding, health, culling, and selection. Staggs will utilize the turkeys that the Krolls have raised to emphasize the points of his various topics and let participants get hands-on experience of culling and selection using the birds that the Krolls have raised.

Participants will meet at Lyssy & Eckel at 9:30 a.m., for those who do not know how to get to the Krolls. The clinic is free but participants are asked to RSVP.

For more information, call the Texas AgriLife Extension Service Wilson County office at 830-393-7357.
