The second annual one day 4-H event will be held Saturday, Oct. 8. This will be held in conjunction with National 4-H Week, Oct. 2-8.

One day 4-H is one day for all the 4-H members, leaders, parents, and volunteers to step out into their communities and county and say “thank you” by giving back for their more than 103 years of support to 4-H in Texas. This day of community service is whatever each 4-H member, club, or county 4-H Program wants it to be. It could be as simple as picking up trash or mowing the lawn for senior citizens, or as elaborate as hosting a 5K Walk/Run and raising money for a cause.

In 2010, more than 11,000 youth and adults participated in this great event.

The 13 Wilson County clubs that comprise the Wilson County 4-H include the Bentwood 4-H, the Bluebonnet 4-H, the County Line 4-H, the Eagle Creek 4-H, the Freedom Riders 4-H, the Labatt 4-H, the Lonestar Horse Club, the Post Oak 4-H, the Stockdale 4-H, the Sunnyside 4-H, the Three Oaks 4-H, the Tower Lake 4-H, and the Wood Valley 4-H.
