Kourtney Josephine Ortiz, the daughter of Gilbert and Priscilla Ortiz, will represent the Wilson County Historical Society in the 2011 Peanut Festival.

She is actively involved in Junior Historians, the National Honor Society, the Leo Club, the Link Crew, and the Mighty Tiger Band.

Kourtney wishes to graduate and pursue a career in the culinary arts at the Culinary Institute of America.

Kourtney’s escort will be Mathieu Corwyn Seguin, the son of Gus and Rosie Seguin. Mathieu also is an active student in school as a member of the Red Cross, the Junior Historians, Business Professionals of America, and the Mighty Tiger Band.

Mathieu would like to pursue a career in engineering at Texas A&M University.
