Kahlen Adel Castro is very excited and honored to represent the Floresville Peanut Festival Association as Train Bearer to Queen-elect Alexa Carvajal and the Court of Mystical Magical Universe.

The daughter of Paul and Lisa Castro, Kahlen is sister to Kendall Alison Castro and the granddaughter of George and Alice Gonzales and Ruben and Adelfa Castro, all of Floresville.

Kahlen is a kindergarten student at Floresville South Elementary School and is a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

She has participated in many activities throughout Wilson County, including Wildcat Cheer, the Wilson County Soccer League, and baseball. In her spare time, Kahlen enjoys slumber parties with her grandmas and aunts, swimming, and hunting and fishing with her Dad.

Kahlen wishes to express her many thanks to her seamstress, Mary Harris, for the construction of her beautiful dress. She would like to extend her appreciation to her cousins, Carmen Leal and Courtney Cantu, Grandma Alice, Grandma Adelfa, Aunt Pauline, Aunt Tracy, Great-Aunt Janie, Great-Aunt Fili, and Nora Cadena for beading her dress.

Finally, Kahlen would like to extend her gratitude to Queen-elect Alexa Carvajal and her family for providing her the opportunity to be part of Peanut Festival history.
