Lance Thomas Latka is proud to announce that he will be in the 67th annual Peanut Festival Court of Mystical Magical Universe serving as Page to Queen-elect Alexa Carvajal.

Lance, the 8-year-old third-grader at Floresville South Elementary School, is the son of Larry and Amanda Latka. He has two younger brothers, Landyn, 4, and Layton, 1. He is the grandson of Lawrence and Vicki Latka and Ernest and Brenda King.

Lance’s great-grandfather, the late Joe D. Tackitt Sr., and his great-uncles were peanut farmers for many years in Wilson County. The late Mary Ella Tackitt, his great-grandmother, served as honorary parade marshal in 1998. His father, Larry, served as Prince in the 56th annual Peanut Festival’s Court of New Horizons serving Queen Ashley Ortmann. Lance has had many other family members serve in the Children’s Court, the Royal Court, as board members, and as president of the Peanut Festival throughout the years. He is very proud to be an addition to the list of family members who have served.

Lance would like to thank Nora Cadena, his seamstress, for all the hard work and dedication that she has put into making his wonderful outfit that he will be wearing in the Peanut Festival.

Lance feels so very blessed and honored that he has been chosen to be in this year’s Peanut Festival Children’s Court and would like to extend his appreciation and gratitude to Queen-elect Alexa Carvajal for giving him this unforgettable opportunity.
