Erika Joy Lyssy is thrilled and honored to announce that she have been chosen by Queen-elect Alexa Carvajal to serve as a Page in the 2011 Court of Mystical Magical Universe. Erika is the 10-year-old daughter of Aldon “Shorty” and Denice Lyssy, and the middle sister to Marissa and Karina. Her proud grandparents are Joyce and Daniel Moy Sr. and Anton and Maxine Lyssy of Tower Lake. Josephine Padalecki of San Antonio is Erika’s proud great-grandma.

Erika has had such a terrific time participating with the wonderful court in all the Peanut Festival activities so far just like her big sister, Marissa, did when she was a Train Bearer to Queen Brittani Pruski in the 2001 Court of Majestic Radiance.

Erika is a fifth-grader at Floresville North Elementary School, where she enjoys every subject and especially sharing hugs with all the teachers. Erika danced with Erin Jones for six years and absolutely loves to sing in the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Choir, where she and her family are active members. In her spare time, she has fun fishing, boating, traveling, riding golf carts, hunting, singing, and dancing with her Papa, Mama, sisters, huge family, and great friends.

Erika and her family want to extend their gratitude to their amazingly talented seamstress, Linda McInvale, for all her hard work and dedication by transforming a drawing into a gorgeous reality; and to Pat and Hilary Reile for their magnificent designs. Erika can’t wait to show off her exquisite gown and joyfully represent her hometown.

Erika and her family wish to thank Queen-elect Alexa, her parents, and the association for this opportunity of a lifetime. Erika’s entire family and friends are very proud of her and Erika thanks everyone for their love and support. This is truly a great privilege that Erika knows she’ll never forget. She looks forward to seeing everyone at the 67th annual Peanut Festival.
