Abby Francisca Saenz is proud to accept the honor of serving as Scepter Bearer to Queen-elect Alexa Marie Carvajal in the 67th annual Peanut Festival Court of Mystical Magical Universe.

Abby, the 7-year-old daughter of Yolanda and Albert Saenz Jr., is the granddaughter of Petra Rodriguez of Floresville and the late Frank Rodriguez Sr. and Rosa Saenz, formerly of San Antonio and the late Albert Saenz Sr. Abby feels blessed by the presence of her 93-year-old great-grandmother, Margarita Cruz Sendejo and she loves the attention she receives from her older siblings, Elizabeth, Crystal, and Albert III.

Abby is in Ms. Chavez’s second-grade class at Floresville’s Sacred Heart Catholic School, where she and her family are active members of the parish. Most of Abby’s energy is spent outdoors riding her bike, swimming, shooting hoops with her cousin, Kat, and going fishing with her daddy.

Abby also has enjoyed looking through past Peanut Festival albums and listening to the lovely stories of when her sister, Crystal Saenz Reyna, was crowned Queen of the Court of Autumn Beauty in 1999. That same year, her brother, Albert, served as Crown Bearer, god-sister Felicia Hernandez served as Page, and cousin Kassie Trinidad served as Scepter Bearer. Kassie also served as Princess and cousin Patrick Silva served as Page to Queen Kalyn Sisti. Her cousin Alexa Cantu served as Page to Queen Brooke Alumbaugh, cousin Jordan Leal served as King to Queen Sarah Treviño, cousin Ryann Palacios served as Page and Justin Leal served as King to Queen Desiree Treviño. Cousin Analisa Talamantez Orta served as Princess to Queen Julee Bingham, and this year, Abby will serve alongside her cousin, Prince-elect Darren Servantez.

Abby looks up to all the members of the Royal Court and she especially thanks Queen-elect Alexa and her parents, Dominic and Delaine Carvajal, for giving her this once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. She is very excited to wear her beautiful dress made with lots of love by her seamstress, Laurie Curtis, and designed by the talented Pat and Hilary Reile. Abby says thank you to President Audrey Clements for guiding her and her family, and lastly, sends big hugs to her Mommy and Daddy for everything they do for her.
