GOOBER GAZETTE: Hailey Nichols to serve as acolyte

Hailey Michelle Nichols is honored to have been chosen as the Acolyte in the 67th annual Peanut Festival in the Court of the Mystical Magical Universe for Queen Tunaep-elect Alexa Carvajal. Hailey is the 9-year-old daughter of Michelle Soriano of Floresville and Clinton Nichols of San Antonio. Hailey’s maternal grandparents are Clifton and Rhea Nell Rogers and her great-grandparents are Ray and Faye Rogers and the late Roy and Pat Johnson. Her paternal grandparents are Jimmy and Cyndy Nichols and her great-grandparents are Delbert and Montene Coleman and James and Betty Jean Nichols. Hailey is the big sister to Caiden Nichols and Leah Soriano.
Hailey’s family has been actively involved in the Peanut Festival for many years, including her mother as First Runner-up Princess in the Court of New Horizons. Hailey has numerous other cousins and uncles who have served on the Royal and Children’s Court.
A fourth-grade student at Floresville North Elementary School, Hailey loves to read. She has a passion for animals, especially horses and dogs, and wants to be a veterinarian one day. Hailey enjoys spending time at the beach, camping with her family, and practicing her tumbling at home or at the gym. Locally, Hailey is an active member of Oak Hills Community Church.
Hailey would like to extend her appreciation to Queen Alexa and her parents for giving her the opportunity to fulfill her childhood dream and represent her community.
