Ashlyn Nicole Talley is honored to represent the Floresville Peanut Festival Association as Princess of Ancient Skywatchers in the 67th annual Floresville Peanut Festival Court of Mystical Magical Universe.

Ashlyn is the 17-year-old daughter of Jason and Michelle Talley. Ashlyn’s sister, Mikaela, is in the seventh grade at Floresville Middle School. Ashlyn is the granddaughter of the late Velma Wright Richardson and Harry E. Ullmann, formerly of Floresville, and Stanford and Pam Talley of Floresville.

Ashlyn’s family on both sides have been involved in the peanut industry, whether it be from growing peanuts on her mom’s side of the family, or owning and operating the peanut dryers on her dad’s side of the family. She has also had numerous family members in the past Peanut Festival Courts. In 2001, Ashlyn served as Page for Queen Brittani Pruski in the Court of Majestic Radiance.

Ashlyn is ranked in the top 10 percent of her class and is a member of the National Honor Society. She played tennis on the varsity tennis team for the last three years. She is a 10-year member of the FFA, where she has been an officer, showed pigs, and been a member of the radio broadcasting and horse judging teams.

She is a member of the First Baptist Church of Floresville, and currently works at the Floresville South Elementary School in the office. She plans to attend Texas A&M University in College Station in the fall of 2012.

Ashlyn would like to take this opportunity to thank Prince-elect Brandon Cisneros and his family for sharing this great honor and for all of their support. Ashlyn would like to give a special thanks to her seamstress, Marietta Matheaus, for the brilliant work that she did on her beautiful dress and train and to the designers, Hilary and Patricia Reile, for their creativity, time, and effort. She would also like to extend her appreciation to the Peanut Festival Association for giving her the honor of being a princess in the Court of Mystical Magical Universe. Ashlyn is looking forward to representing the community at all of the upcoming events.
