Darren Louis Servantez is proud and honored to announce that he has been selected by Princess-elect Georgia Dunn to serve as her Prince-elect in the 67th annual Floresville Peanut Festival Court of the Mystical Magical Universe.

Darren, the 17-year-old son of Adela and Louis Servantez Jr., is the younger brother of Jennifer Sanchez and Crystal Servantez. He is the grandson of Marta Trinidad of Floresville and the late Elizandro Trinidad, Raynaldo and Rosalinda Guajardo of San Antonio, and Louis Servantez Sr. of Calaveras and the late Mary Servantez; Darren also is the great-grandson of Maggie Cruz of Floresville. His nieces include Dazlyn and Danalyn Sanchez, and Alexis White.

Darren is a proud senior at Floresville High School. He is a four-year member of the Fighting Tiger football team, where he plays full-back and defensive tackle. His love for football started at the age of 7, when he played for the Wildcats, and into his middle school years. When he’s not playing football, he is out fishing with his dad or hanging out with his family. He also enjoys the culinary arts, which he currently studies at Floresville High School.

During the summer, he was employed at Mission Road Developmental Center in San Antonio where he assisted the mentally challenged kids in their education and activities.

Upon graduation, Darren plans to attend San Antonio College, following his dad’s footsteps in becoming a firefighter.

Recently, his cousin, Kassandra Trinidad, served as Princess in the 2010 Court of Celebrations of Texas as well as having other family members who have participated in the past.

In the end, Darren thanks his parents for their love and support and for making this opportunity possible and allowing him to be a part of this memorable event. He also extends his utmost gratitude to Georgia Dunn for the honor of being her escort and representing the community. Also, a special thank you to his talented seamstress, Kathy Sawers, for the dedication, time, and energy she put into making his admirable sash.
