Kailey Michelle Shoemaker is honored to have been chosen as Princess-elect in the 67th annual Floresville Peanut Festival Court of Mystical Magical Universe. Kailey, the 17-year-old daughter of Doug and Allison Shoemaker, has two older brothers, Ryan and Drew. Her grandparents are Robert and Mary Lou Shoemaker and the late Roger and Joyce Bell. Kailey and her family are members of the Floresville United Methodist Church.

Kailey, a senior at Floresville High School, will graduate in the spring as a Distinguished Honor Student. She is also a proud member of the Floresville High School chapter of the National Honor Society.

In addition to Kailey’s commitment to academics, she has been involved in many extracurricular activities and organizations in high school. She has been a member of the Varsity Cheer Squad her freshman, sophomore, and junior years, and proudly served as a Varsity Cheer Captain her junior year. Kailey was also nominated as All American Cheerleader her junior year. In addition, she served as a member of the Floresville Student Council each year and served as Student Council Reporter/Historian her junior year. Kailey also served as the Junior Class Reporter/Historian her junior year and as a Link Crew Leader.

As a senior, in addition to proudly representing the community as a Floresville Peanut Festival Princess, Kailey participates in the Floresville High School Work Based Learning Program where she is employed at the Floresville North Elementary School.

Kailey is thrilled to serve as a Princess in the 67th annual Floresville Peanut Festival and wishes to thank the Floresville Peanut Festival Association for providing her this honor. She would also like to thank her seamstress, Marietta Matheaus, for making her exquisite dress and Zeke Wiatrek for serving as her prince. Kailey and Zeke look forward to seeing everyone at this year’s festival.
